The 31,000 acre Granite Mountain Wilderness, a part of the BLM’s National Conservation Lands, is located in California’s eastern Sierra near Mono Lake and Lee Vining. The area has a varied landscape of open alluvial basins, basaltic plateaus and granite ridges, and sagebrush steppe. Photos by Bob Wick, BLM.
