Hillary Clinton Hits Back At Lying ‘Clinton Cash’ Author (VIDEOS)

by  –

Even though it’s well known Peter Schweizer, author of the new “Clinton Cash,” is a serial liar who embellished truths about Hillary Clinton, some people are still stupid enough to buy into nothing but hype.

However, that hasn’t stopped the attacks from the right. So Clinton’s campaign is hitting back, and it’s about time. Even though Schweizer’s book is nothing more than a vast right-wing conspiracy of speculation and what-ifs, Clinton’s image has taken a hit. It’s showing in the people’s perception of her trustworthiness: roughly 25 percent  of registered voters said they viewed her as honest and straightforward. Last year, that number was nearly 40 percent.

“While we will not be consumed by these kinds of attacks, we will also not let them go unchallenged. That’s why we are building a new one-stop shop to provide the facts about Hillary Clinton’s positions and her record,” her campaign said in a statement.

Clinton spokesman Josh Schwerin said of the book:

“‘Clinton Cash’ was billed as a bombshell before being exposed as a dud. The media has examined the conspiracy theories in the book and found it to be completely lacking in evidence supporting its outrageous claims.”

The Clinton campaign unveiled a newly-launched webpage solely dedicated to discrediting the book. John Podesta, Clinton’s campaign manager, issued a memo on the webpage saying, “Here’s How Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Will Cut Through the Partisan Noise and Get to the Facts.”

A video called “The Briefing” compiled excerpts of media outlets exposing the book for its lack of evidence:

Accompanying the memo is a video fact-checking the book:

There is also an article linked that lists the “10 things you should know” about the book, which dismantles the biggest speculations brought up in the book and attacks the credibility of Schweizer.  The article talked extensively about the many claims he made about Hillary Clinton, pointing out she didn’t have veto power over the uranium trade deal with Russia and that independent fact checkers debunk Schweizer.

I’ll say it again: if you’re going to be a mouthpiece for the right during this election, please know what you’re talking bout. That may seem like an oxymoron, but at least try.
