Sarah Palin Wants You To Know Donald Trump Is Just As Much A Hero As John McCain

After the outrageous remarks from Donald Trump that drew criticism from the left and right alike about the service and heroism of Senator John McCain when he was a POW in Vietnam during his time in the Navy, one would think Sarah Palin would come rushing in to the rescue. After all, John McCain made Palin who she is today when he catapulted her into the national spotlight picking her to be his running mate in 2008.

If you’re not sure what I’m referring to, last week Donald Trump declared of McCain:

“He’s not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

Douchebag, right? Oh, but not to Sarah Palin. Instead of criticizing fellow reality television star Trump, she stayed neutral and ran to the defense of Trump, as well as McCain. Because, you know, why not?

In an email to CNN, she wrote:

“I have the good fortune of knowing both John McCain and Donald Trump well. Both men have more in common than the today’s media hype would have you believe. Both blazed trails in their careers and love our great nation.”

Have you puked yet? Not yet? Just wait.

Apparently, she also included an image of McCain coming home from Vietnam in her email, you know, to make them believe she loves him. However, what she says next, is anything but love.

“Sen. McCain dedicated his life to serving our country, and in my humble opinion the sacrifices made by all ethical service members are heroic — putting it all on the line to defend freedom IS heroic — and Donald Trump is a hero in another arena.”

Oh, really? Please explain. Did you also include an image of Donald Trump’s FIVE deferments from Vietnam? She continues:

“Trump is the candidate giving voice to untold millions of fed-up Americans witnessing a purposeful destruction of our economy and the equal opportunity for success that made America exceptional. We’re watching career politicians throw away our kids’ future through bankrupting public budgets and ripping open our porous borders which, obvious to all us non-politicians, puts us at great risk.”

There it is. The reason she loves Trump and declared he’s “a hero.” He hates Mexicans just as much as she does! She adds:

“Everywhere I go, hard-working patriotic Americans — not ‘crazies’ or ‘wacko birds’ — ask me to pass on to Mr. Trump encouragement to keep educating the masses about true ramifications of illegal immigration, and in general the real state of our union.”

Never mind the fact that undocumented workers only come here because they are being hired – including by Trump himself. One never really stops to think that if undocumented workers weren’t able to find work, they probably wouldn’t bother coming. These immigrants come here in hopes of getting citizenship and to seek a better life for themselves and their families. all the while working very hard. Someone needs to remind Trump, Palin and the like, that the United States is, in fact, a nation of immigrants, and if we actually put forth proper immigration reform, those “illegals” that they hate so much, would all be full-fledged, tax-paying citizens. Oh, but please, keep fighting against immigration reform.

They apparently like things the way that they are.

Palin continues her email by saying how she doesn’t want Trump and McCain to be at odds and arguing. She wants them to be besties, and have sleepovers, while braiding each-others comb-overs.  She said they need to:

“… resolve the media driven wedge between them.”

Yeah, blame the media, again. No, it’s called Trump put his foot in his mouth, and instead of owning it, both she and Trump are defending his words. However, she wasn’t done blaming the media for showing things that have actually been said. She wrote:

“We can keep the debate focused on significant issues at hand. I leave politics of personal destruction to those on the Left and lazy media lapdogs who’s only take away from any debate is any salacious slip-up, as if they’ve never wanted to restate something they’ve publicly uttered.”

That gosh darn media and it’s ability to record life as it happens. If only it could be scripted and edited like a reality show.

“I’ll fight the exhausting, divisive strategy that’s taken hold under the current crop of politicians who refuse to allow our United States to unite. Both Mr. Trump and Sen. McCain can contribute their gifts and talents to join that fight to work together, because the Left is headed the other direction and under that desired division we will fall.”

Yes, the “Left” is headed in the direction of progress and the 21st century, while the right is walking straight off a cliff into the pit of despair.

The fact that Palin is coming to the defense of Trump is utterly nauseating, but then again, so is most of the stuff that she has ever said. But, while it’s not totally surprising, you’d think she would’ve sided more with the man who gave her the megaphone to spout her nonsense.
