The First Mosque To Be Designed By Women Is AMAZING

By MDB, Political Blind Spot – A new mosque is set to be designed exclusively by women. The Şakirin Mosque in Turkey is situated in Istanbul and combines contemporary and modern designs while overtly paying homage to the traditional Ottoman influences and designs. The large mosque will seat 500. It was originally set to draft by interior designer Zeynep Fadıllıoğlu. Fadıllıoğlu is famous for designing an array of shops, restaurants and even luxury hotels. She’s also working on the mosque along side of other female artists who have received worldwide renowned. The Şakirin Mosque features a large dome covering for the main prayer area, as well as traditional minarets and a courtyard. Check out the mosque at night!
