St. Louis PD Hosts ‘Highly Entertaining’ Class On How To ‘Win With The Media’ After A Police Shooting

by Jameson Parker – After last month’s shooting of an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, the St. Louis Police Department thinks they may have learned some valuable lessons from the incident. No, they aren’t about to address their shoot-to-kill policies or better train their officers to use firearms only as a last resort; instead, they plan on training officials to better handle the fallout with the media after they kill someone. After all, why prevent a shooting when you can simply control the media spin after the fact?
