This List Of Music Banned In Russia Is Insane, And A Christian Conservative Wet Dream

by KERRY-ANNE – A list of music banned on Russian radio, together with reasons for each ban, has been released. It’s insane, but also a Christian Conservative wet dream. Kiss have been banned for nationalism and violence. Pink Floyd are still blacklisted for “interfering with the foreign policy of the USSR (Afghanistan)” – likely in response to their song Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert. In a strangely comical turn, a band called Kenet Hit (which no one seems to be able to find) has been banned for “homo-sexualism,” but The Village People got their ban for, um, violence. Our personal favorite is Julio Iglesias, banned for “neofascism.” Clearly, we must have failed to appreciate the neofascist subtext ofMoonlight Lady.
