The Worst Sexual Abuse Scandal in British Soccer History is Up to 560 Victims

by Lindsay Gibbs – The allegations are focused on 252 suspects. One of the worst child sexual abuse scandals in sports history just keeps growing in scope. Last month, the National Police Chiefs’ Council in England released the latest numbers in an ongoing investigation into a child sex abuse scandal in British soccer. As of that report, 560 alleged victims had come forward with allegation against 252 suspects. by ALAN PYKE – More top international soccer executives are likely to be arrested in a Department of Justice investigation of FIFA and other governing bodies in the sport, an Internal Revenue Service official said Saturday. “e anticipate additional arrests, indictments and/or pleas,” IRS Criminal Investigation Division chief Richard Weber told Bloomberg. FIFA’s immediate response in the press portrayed itself as the victim of CONCACAF officials’ crimes. But the case may soon lead...

I’ve heard rugby fans, for example, scoff at how dull football is, and despite Coulter’s romanticized notion of it, like most things American football seems to be becoming about safety first too. Nevertheless, Coulter chose a fun, newsy topic and hooked it in to her wheelhouse—conservative horror at the changing world around them—so good for her....
